Obituary: Peter John Severn, 1954-1961

As a result of a chance encounter between the son of Ray Hickling and the daughter of Pete Severn, we heard that he had died. Morever, his daughter had no photographs of Pete when young and Ray was able to point her to this site where he appears on the Panoras as well as one photograph taken in 1961. The following has been added to the Obits page..

SEVERN, Peter John. 1954-1961. b 1942 Kimberley. RAF 1961(as Cadet Pilot)-1977. Flew Canberras and Vulcans. BA (Open University), MBIM. Taught Management at Trevenson House, Redruth (part of Cornwall College). RAFVR (Photographic Interpretation Branch) retiring as Squadron Leader 1998. d 2014. Buried at Stoke Gabriel, South Devon.

According to the Derby papers the Exhibition opened Monday 23 June at the Rolls-Royce Welfare and Sprts Ground, Sinfin. The exhibition was in a large marquee which can be seen on the back right.

Unlocated Publications on the School

Garry Humphreys has found these two titles in a Bibliography of Nottinghamshire. Since they are listed in the compilation copies must exist somewhere, possibly in the County Archives. Does anybody know the location of either?
